3. Data Collection on Our Website
Cookies
Some of the internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them or until a predefined expiration date is reached. These cookies may be necessary for certain technical additional functions on specific pages and do not contain any personal data.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Any other cookies (e.g. cookies for analyzing your browsing behavior) are addressed separately in this privacy policy.
Server Log Files
The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:
-
Browser type and browser version
-
Operating system used
-
Referrer URL
-
Hostname of the accessing computer
-
Time of the server request
-
IP address (anonymized)
These data are used to ensure the smooth operation of the web server and the web application. These data are not merged with other data sources.
The collection of these data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website; for this purpose, server log files must be collected and evaluated.
Contact Form and Inquiries by Email
If you send us inquiries via the contact form or by email, your details from the inquiry form or email, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Some fields in the form are mandatory. Providing your name allows us to address you personally in our response.
The processing and storage of the data entered into the contact form or transmitted by email is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time. An informal email notification to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the time of withdrawal remains unaffected.
We store the transmitted data until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – and reasons of legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR remain unaffected.
4. Analysis Tools
Webalizer and AWStats
This website uses the analysis tools Webalizer and AWStats, which are pre-installed by the provider on the web server, to analyze page views. These tools evaluate the server log files generated by the web server and provide a simple overview of the number of visits and the pages accessed.
The evaluation of the log file data is carried out using anonymized IP addresses and therefore cannot be attributed to personal data. The data is not merged with other data sources. The storage of log files and statistical data is carried out automatically on our provider’s web server.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its web offering and advertising.
